We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
We collect: your email address or phone number (for account creation), your chat messages and skin concern inputs (to generate recommendations), click events on product links (to measure platform performance), and your country (to personalise results). We do not collect payment card details — payments are handled entirely by Paddle.
We use your data solely to provide the Sazema service: generating AI recommendations, maintaining your chat history, and sending account-related emails. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your chat messages are processed by OpenAI to generate recommendations. OpenAI is GDPR-compliant and does not use your data to train its models by default. Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as merchant of record. Account emails are sent via Resend. All providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the eu-west-1 region (Ireland). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Free-tier chat history is retained for 30 days. Pro-tier history is retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at support@sazema.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use session cookies only — to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Sazema is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
